Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload
Work with local agencies (Cities, Counties, Caltrans) to acquire construction permits within public ROW
Responsible for securing permits required for work within the public right-of-way to support the installation, maintenance, and operation of utility facilities.
This role regularly coordinates and communicates with internal departments, government agencies, municipalities, and other external stakeholders to obtain approvals, ensure compliance with permitting requirements, and negotiate favorable permit conditions.
The position serves as a key liaison throughout the permitting process, helping facilitate timely project execution while maintaining positive working relationships with regulatory and permitting authorities.

Required Skills/Attributes
One or more years of experience reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, plans, maps, and/or designs.
Experience working within construction timelines and with various construction personnel and clients.
Monitors and updates permit statuses, approvals, and expiration dates
Familiarity with building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and SharePoint.
